What People Are Saying...

“I had been eager to try my hand at calligraphy for a while and was thrilled that my introduction to this technique came in the form of a Feast workshop. Alissa’s welcoming personality made an intimate group of beginners feel at ease right of the bat.  After observing her demonstrate individual techniques - from forming letters involving lines, curves, and loops, through to capitals and tips on linking letters to form words - we’d try our hand at each technique. The class transitioned fluidly from instruction to hands-on practice throughout, always in manageable increments. Even in a group of 15, she did a wonderful job of giving each student one-on-one attention and feedback. To encourage continued practice beyond the workshop, Feast provides thoughtfully prepared take-home kits including templates with line spacing and alphabet examples, as well as a quality pad of paper, ink, pen, and a few nibs. Equipped with these tools and a solid foundation, I left with a confidence to develop my own modern calligraphy style over time through continued practice. I’d highly recommend attending one of Alissa’s workshops!”

“I have taken calligraphy classes for the last three years and have never been able to conquer the oblique pen. I took Alissa’s class and I was able to master the concept! I’m finally excited to grow in the art of Calligraphy. I highly recommend Alissa’s workshops for all who want to pursue calligraphy.”

“I had the pleasure of attending Alissa’s calligraphy workshop last spring. As a photographer and small business owner I found that learning the basics of calligraphy allowed me to personalize my packaging and set me apart. Not to mention it is peaceful and relaxing. Alissa is not only patient and kind but loves her craft and makes learning fun. I highly recommend taking a workshop from her, if for nothing else to make your gift tags and cards a little more personal and beautiful.”
